Rule Book

ICING

When somebody on the other team throws it down to the enemy’s end, and doesn't make it to the yellow/red line near the goal in time to get the puck, that's icing.

OFFSIDE

When 4 teammates or less are over the offside line, and a teammate comes over the line with the puck, that is an offside. The player with the puck has to be the first over the line.

FACEOFFS

At all times in a faceoff, there are 5 players. Center, Right wing, Left wing, Right, and Left.

Center will try to win the faceoff, pass it down to Right, or Left, tie up with their opponent, or shoot off the faceoff.

CHECKING

Checking is allowed, but only to a certain degree. Do not do it because you are mad at the player you are targeting, only do it to the player that has the puck. Do not do it at full speed, only a little rough.

PENALTIES

1 tripping will be called if you, well, trip someone.

2 slashing will be called if you hit someone in the hands with your stick.

3 hooking will be called if you hold a player back with your stick.

4 holding will be called if you use your hands and grab them to stop them from getting the puck/moving.

5 unsportsmanlike will be called if you keep pushing/annoying/poking someone.

6 boarding will be called if you intentionally hit somebody in the boards really hard.

7 interference will be called if you intentionally throw the puck out of play, or block somebody from joining the play.

8 high sticking will be called if you hit another player with your stick.

POWER PLAYS

When a team has an extra player on the deck because the other team is serving a penalty.

PENALTY SHOTS

When someone is tripped or pulled down on a breakaway, they get a chance 1v1 with the other team's goalie for a chance to score.

OVERTIME

At the end of the 3rd period, and the teams are tied, they play an extra 5:00 minutes, but when somebody scores, it's all over and they win.

SHOOTOUTS

Each team has three tries to score on the enemies goalie. If 1 team gets more than the other team in shootouts, they win, and vice versa. If both teams get all three of their shots and scores, you keep going until one team gets a goal.

NO FIGHTING

TIME

each period is 10:00 long.
